Nu Calgon 4287 34 Nickel Safe Ice Machine Cleaner was specially developed to remove scale deposits. It is a citric/phosphoric product. But its main peculiarity is that it is a food product. It means that the cleaner can be used for kitchen appliances. The good is applicable to ice-makers that are equipped with tin-plated or nickel-plate evaporators.
The mixture is used for cleaning nickel machines of different manufacturers, including Manitowoc. Generally speaking, it is the first nickel-safe cleaner.
Before adding the mixture to water, study its instruction thoroughly, and keep proportions. You need 16 ounces of the product for 3 gallons of system liquid.
Lime scale is the main cause of all problems occurring in ice machines. Minerals are always present in water. When an ice machine freezes liquid into ice, these minerals can combine, create new chemical compounds and settle on the walls in the form of lime scale. As a freezing cycle keeps functioning, these compounds remain in unfrozen liquid. The amount of water decreases and compounds precipitate as a lime scale deposit. It’s chemistry!
This may lead to numerous problems with ice machines. Lime scale can block the water flow, create plugged holes, precipitate on parts, and brake drive mechanisms. RETURNING MERCHANDISE
To return an item, use the following steps:
1. Contact us by email to request a Return Authorization Number (RMA). Returns received outside of this process are subject to delay or refusal.
2. Re-package the item and affix the shipping label as instructed.
3. Include a copy of your order confirmation or packing slip with the package with the RMA# clearly written on it.
4. Make sure you receive a tracking number for the package so there is a way to track the package back to us. Also, if the order was expensive, you may want to consider insuring the package against loss or damage. PartzStop is not responsible for return items damaged in transit.
30 days to return a product, the product must be uninstalled and in factory packaging, warranty claims must be taken up with the manufacturer of the product, a restocking fee will be charged to cover shipping costs if the item shows wear from use or is not returned in the factory packaging, the restocking fee will be higher.
